It started as a stable and blacksmith shop and was converted into a hotel in 1915. The new owner then was Roxie Thorson and her husband. He had a dream to make bath salts from the Soap Lake Mineral water, but within 2 years of the purchase, he became ill with pneumonia and passed away. This left Roxie to carry on, and as it goes, she became the queen of the salt mine until 1986, when at 96 she passed away. Discover Soap Lake's only historic beachfront Inn. The Inn was completely renovated and reopened in 1993. As you enter the hotel you will feel the warmth and charm as though you are visiting a friends home.
