The beautiful coastal city of Edmonds Washington, 20 miles north of Seattle on Puget Sound, has been hosting this popular art festival for many years. With a reputation of representing 240 fine-quality artists and craftspeople, the Festival attracts approximately 75,000 patrons on the three-day Father's Day Weekend.

Historic preservation is the tie to ones past. Whether it be a story, a photo, a chair, or even a building, the link to the past is what gives a community its roots. The Edmonds South Snohomish County Historical Society is chartered to head the effort to preserve the history of Edmonds and the surrounding areas. While the Edmonds Museum is set up to house and display historical artifacts and data, another key function of any historic society is to encourage the preservation of historic structures and sites.
