Enjoy the famous blackberry pie and meet island artisans in their cooperative gallery. Orcas Island is the gem of the San Juan archipelago and accessible by ferry from Anacortes, 79 miles north of Seattle. Olga is located at the foot of Entrance Mountain and only two miles from Moran State Park, a 2898 acre paradise with 27 miles of hiking trails and seasonally determined mountain bike trails, panoramic ocean and island views and lakes for swimming and fishing. A convenient and quiet place to spend a vacation. I encourage long relaxing visits to truly experience the joy of the islands. For the summer season (June, July, August, September) I only take reservations for five nights or more until late spring. After that time I have a three day minimum. For the off season, I have a two night minimum. Occasionally I have one or two nights available on a short notice basis.

Orcas Boat Rentals has been operating out of Deer Harbor Marina for many years. Located on the sunny West Side of Orcas Island, Deer Harbor is truly in the heart of the San Juan Islands. We have 16' and 14' power boats and a 22' sailboat available for 1/2 day or full day rentals. Great for fishing, wildlife sightseeing or just exploring the islands. Feel free to go beachcombing while visiting one of our outer island state parks or check out Friday Harbor or Roche Harbor for lunch and some shopping. Visit one of our marine sanctuaries (please give up to 200 yard radius) to see seals, sea lions, porpoises, bald eagles & occasionally a pod of killer whales. All of our boats are in good condition and easy to run.

An intimate escape on Orcas Island in the beautiful San Juan Islands. Our home and three guest cabins are situated on three lovely acres along our own private beach. Spacious lawns, flower gardens and woods overlook the water and islands of Westsound. The charming little cabins were built in the early 1900's in a simple Cape Cod style. We have restored them into perfect honeymoon or private retreats with fluffy pillows, comfy furnishings and gorgeous views. The cabins are comfortable and inviting, and each offers its own unique details. Everything, with the exception of your food, is provided. A two person hot tub, nestled among the trees, is secluded overlooking the water, for Heather and Primrose guests. Our private beach invites you for a beach fire, clamming, or a lazy picnic. Our dock is available for your boat by arrangement. Weddings on the point are beautiful.

The Garden House is a private one-bedroom cottage located on Orcas Island (in the San Juan Island archipelago); Orcas Island is approximately 80 miles north northwest of Seattle, Washington. The Garden House is available year round. The Garden House is a second floor guest quarters, with cathedral ceilings, dormers and lots of light. Containing a combined kitchen and sitting room, a large bedroom, and a bathroom with shower, the Garden House is located on 6 wooded acres of waterfront property at the east end of Orcas Island. A generous, sunny deck with a large hot tub sits above a flower and fruit garden, with the water modestly visible through the trees. A four minute walk on a wooded trail leads to a large rock outcropping, with inter-tidal pools and a south-easterly view of the Rosario Straits, several islands and the North Cascades, providing an ideal place for fishing, conversation or contemplation. The northwest style building, with shake roof, custom wood framed windows and shingle siding, is about 200 feet from the main house. A wood stove (free firewood supplied), as well as electric heat, will keep you warm.

They all have easy access to our private beach and a really wonderful view of Mount Baker and Rosario Strait, looking out toward Lummi, Cypress and Sinclair Islands. Located in a quiet rural area about two miles from the Village of Olga and about four miles from Moran State Park. Orcas is one of four Islands in the in the San Juan archipelago that are served by the Washington State Ferry System (Ph.1-800-84-Ferry). There are 8-10 daily departures and the ferry from Orcas also provides you with easy access to Victoria, B.C. or to the other San Juan Islands for day trips. Also, you can fly to Orcas Island on a Kenmore Air sea-plane.

Our comfortable guest house is in Olga, overlooking Buck Bay, on Orcas Island. Its large windows and spacious deck face approximately 40 acres of open meadows, ringed by hills covered with tall pine trees, and a beautiful South Westerly water view over our small beach at Buck Bay, the East Sound, Lopez Island, the ferries passing by, and in the distance, the Olympic Peninsula mountain range. Moran State Park is two miles from Olga and includes four of the five lakes on Orcas Island. In the summer there are boating, fishing and swimming at Cascade Lake in the Park, as well as many hiking trails and Mt. Constitution the highest point in the San Juan Islands at 2400 ft. The Olga Cafe, Orcas Island Artworks, Olga Store and Olga Community Dock are all within walking distance of Buck Bay, and Doe Bay, with thermal hot tubs, kayaking and restaurant, is two miles to the other side of us.

In Moran State Park you can enjoy picnicking, camping, swimming, hiking and nature trails, a boat launch, fishing and an environmental learning center. Moran State Park has over 30 miles of foot trails which were built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930's. These range in difficulty from a fairly level 2.5 mile walk around Cascade Lake to the more demanding climb from Cascade Lake to the summit of Mount Constitution. The highest peak in the San Juan Islands, Mount Constitution rises more than 2000 feet above sea level on Orcas Island. The mountain is entirely contained within Moran State Park. At its summit is a stone tower that was patterned after a twelfth century mountain fortress.
